Older Persons’ Fair on Friday 9th June between 10am-12pm at Sir James Hawkey Hall (Broom Hill Road, Woodford Green, IG8 0BG).
We are partnering with the Department for Work and Pensions - DWP, and we will be offering guidance and advice to senior citizens living in Woodford Green. It will be a fantastic opportunity to introduce support, voluntary and active services or organisations to residents in Woodford Green.
I am pleased that representatives from Age UK, Redbridge Council and Barclays Bank have so far confirmed their attendance. The idea of this event is to bring together a mix of organisations and groups who can explain how they can help people living in Woodford Green. Often, it's those who experience health or care needs that are unaware of the local groups that could support them in everyday life.
This event is free for members of the public to attend and light refreshments will be provided. There will be plenty of parking available at the venue.
It will be a good opportunity to talk to me and your local Councillors about any local issues that you might have.
